(Image via Wikipedia) About 266 million people use Yahoo! Mail, which means the chances of getting an address with your name is pretty poor at this point. Yahoo! made things a bit easier by opening up two new domains, @ymail.com and @rocketmail.com.
RocketMail was one of the first major free webmail services ,It was purchased by Yahoo! in 1997. In yahoo corp blog , John Kremer says RocketMail is back for a new generation to enjoy.
One can get email account under the new domains at around 3 p.m. ET Thursday at http://mail.yahoo.com
The Yahoo said people can finally say goodbye to lengthy email addresses, such as CutiePie4Ever80 or mattclark1977@yahoo.com, with the introduction of "@ymail.com" and "@rocketmail.com."
People who sign up under the new domains will have access to the same features as the older domain, such as unlimited storage, integrated IM, and spam and virus protection.
